Sponsorship Opportunities

The Magnet Technology Conference (MT-23) will be held in Boston, MA from July 14 – 19, 2013. Sponsoring a session or activity at MT-23 helps promote your company, laboratory or university while helping to offset costs for junior scientists, students and colleagues who could not otherwise afford to attend. Your support will be recognized in various ways, as outlined in the following descriptions.

Welcome to Boston: Reception $10K ($2K each local sponsor)
Each sponsor’s name, logo and web link will appear on the MT-23 website and on appropriate sponsor signage displayed at MT-23.  Sponsor acknowledgments will also be given in the program book and conference transactions. Selected peer reviewed papers will be published in a special issue of IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity. Sponsors will also be acknowledged in MT-23 press releases (Sunday, July 14).
Farewell Banquet $10K
A unique Major Event Sponsorship is available for a true New England summer event!  The sponsor’s name, logo and web link will appear on the MT-23 website and on appropriate sponsor signage displayed at MT-23.  Sponsor acknowledgment will also be given in the program book and conference transactions. Selected peer reviewed papers will be published in a special issue of IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity. Sponsors will be acknowledged in MT-23 press releases. Hint: The sponsor name and logo will be part of the funky, interactive gifts to be given at the banquet. (Thursday, July 18)
Scientist and Student Support $1,000 – $5,000 (multiple sponsors)
This important sponsorship provides critical support for scientists and students who could not otherwise afford to attend. The funds will not be used for food and beverage. Each sponsor’s name, logo and web link will appear on the MT-23 website and on appropriate sponsor signage displayed at MT-23.  Sponsors will be acknowledged in MT-23 press releases, and acknowledgments will also be given in the program book and conference transactions. Selected peer reviewed papers will be published in a special issue of IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity.
MT-23 Graduate Student Program $2,000 + (multiple sponsors)
First Sponsor: University of Houston
The GSAP provides special structured opportunities for student-led discussions, a networking session with leading senior scientists and industry leaders on career opportunities, and participation in outings with other student attendees. Sponsorship helps offset room and AV costs, refreshments and printed materials. Each sponsor’s name, logo and web link will appear on the MT-23 website, on appropriate sponsor signage displayed at the conference, and in the program book and conference transactions.
Plenary Sessions $2,500 (multiple sponsors)
First Sponsor: ATI Wah Chang
Each sponsored plenary session will contain the name of the sponsor in the program book. The sponsor’s name, logo and web link will also be projected on the screen at the beginning of each plenary session and verbal acknowledgment will be given. Each sponsor’s name, logo and web link will appear on the MT-23 website and on appropriate sponsor signage displayed at the conference. Sponsors will also be acknowledged in the program book and conference transactions.
Oral Sessions/Memorial Session $2,000
Each sponsored session will contain the name of the sponsor in the program book. The sponsor’s name, logo and web link will also be projected on the screen at the beginning of the session, and verbal acknowledgment will be given. Each sponsor’s name, logo and web link will appear on the MT-23 website and on appropriate sponsor signage displayed at the conference. Sponsors will also be acknowledged in the program book and conference transactions.
CWsWiSE Women in Science and Engineering – Diversity $500 – $2,000 (multiple sponsors)
The Workshop (Sunday, July 14) is intended for graduate and undergraduate students, early career researchers, established professionals, and others who want to have access to the three ‘keys’ to success: communication, confidence and commitment. The program consists of networking events with successful international women in science and engineering that will discuss opportunities available to women around the world.   Each sponsor’s name, logo and web link will appear on the MT-23 website, and on appropriate sponsor signage displayed at MT-23.  Sponsor acknowledgments will also be given in the program book and conference transactions.  Sponsors will be acknowledged in MT-23 press releases.
Publications Support Call for information (Multiple sponsors)
Sponsorships help lessen the cost of publication of selected peer-reviewed conference manuscripts in IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity. Each sponsor’s name, logo and web link will appear on the MT-23 website and on appropriate sponsor signage displayed at MT-23. Sponsor acknowledgment will also be included in the program book and conference transactions.
Lanyards for Badge Holders $2,000 – SOLD – Sponsored by R. Kind
The sponsor logo or company name will be printed on lanyards for badge holders and distributed to all conference participants, companions and guests. The MT-23 logo will also appear on the lanyard.  The sponsor name, logo and web link will appear on the MT-23 website, on appropriate sponsor signage displayed at the conference, and in the program book and conference transactions.
ECO Shopping Bag $2,000 – SOLD – Sponsored by SuperPower
A sponsor opportunity is available to brand an ecologically friendly, unique multi-purpose shoulder bag that will hold conference materials. The bag is 12”H x 14” W x 6” D. The sponsor logo, name, and web link will be printed on the front of the bag. Pockets for business cards are located on each side.
MT-23 Boston 4.2K Fun Run $2,000 (2 sponsors)
The Fun Run will be held in tandem with the Westin Running Concierge program. The run along the Charles River is intended for intermediate runners. Each sponsor’s logo and the MT-23 logo will appear on the Fun Run t-shirts and water bottles. Funds from sponsors will cover t-shirts, trophies, and water bottles. Each sponsor’s name, logo and web link will appear on the MT-23 website and on appropriate sponsor signage displayed at MT-23. Sponsor acknowledgment will also be given in the program book and conference transactions.
Internet Cafe $2,000
A dedicated space will be arranged at an Internet café with computers and Internet connections.  The Internet café plays an important role at the conference.  It is free of charge to participants and will enable them to stay in touch with laboratories and colleagues.  The sponsor’s logo will be displayed on each computer screen. The sponsor’s name, logo and web link will also appear on the MT-23 website, on appropriate sponsor signage displayed at MT-23, and in the program book and conference transactions.
